Help with Tarriff charges please
Hi
We fixed our Gas and Electric back in May to fixed energy online tarriff with Scottish Power. I am reviewing all our money stuff just now and wondered whether there was a way of checking whether we are on the best deal (I know about the comparison sites but was looking for a list of different companies and their charges if that makes sense)
We are charged 2.482p per KwH for gas with a 14.68p standing charge and 10.509p for electric with a 15.96 standing charge - how can I tell if this is a good deal or not? Also our daily gas consumption for the last quarter was 58units a day - is that a lot??
Thanks

58kwh a day would be good in my house!
Comparison sites are only way - use your annual kwh to get accurate results. Click on the best results to see details of each tariff to compare with what you're paying now.0 -
Is that 58Kwh or 58 Cubic metres or 58 cubic feet?

I live in a 3 bed semi only 2 of us, gas warm air heating on from 8am to 10:30pm as one of us is at home all day.
We are using about 100Kwh of gas and 13Kwh of electricity per day just now so 58Kwh of gas a day is quite good.
We paid £154 for electricity and £241 gas for the past 3 months. These were actual readings not estimates.
Our direct debit is £114 per month.
Does anyone else have gas warm air heating and how much does it cost to run?

I can't help you there I'm afraid - never even heard of it but will bump this up in case someone else can help.
Our GCH is only on for about 6 hours a day (unless my OH decides he wants it on more when I'm not looking), Our DD is £71 a month and we are only about £5 in credit at the moment0
