p.s. i read somewhere that its tesco policy to only accept 4 receipts at any one time.

I think the policy for this is set locally, mine will only do 3 at a time, but they are Ok for 26 weeks after sale date.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

Also it means that when Tesco send out the statements you may get more money off coupons in your mailing, depending on what the majority of products were purchased. Can't be bad for a freebie.

NB. Around Christmas I visited two different Tesco stores in consecutive weeks and received £6.00 off coupons for purchases of over £30 as part of my receipt. Ended up they were accepted at the other store too, although it said to the contrary on the coupon. Pls excuse the posting if it is out of place Im a newbie :)

    Hi all,

I must say that I didn't expect this many positive comments when I asked the original question, and only one negative response.

After thinking about it if I found 125 points worth of recipts every week that would be an extra 26000 clubcard deals points every year :j , I wonder how far I can get on that (I'm saving for a holiday).

    See yall later

I do this too, I frequently collect the points from discarded receipts. In fact saddo that I am I have a seperate card in my fella's name that I use to collect these points onto meaning I can see how many "free" points I have. I've been doing it for awhile and have collected about £14 worth of points which will all go towards our holiday.

I input a voucher for £5 or 500 extra points for my internet shopping.

The voucher showed up on the email but wasn't credited onn the delivery receipt - yet again!

This happens every time now and you end up having to argue with them to get them back.

Last time I had a genuine voucher from a Prima magazine which showed up on the order but not on the receipt.

T answered the e-mail but didn't credit the £5 and then stopped answering the emails aswell.

Anyone else haing the same problem?

  • Hey great idea, I had not thought of doing this before.
I esp' like the idea of screwing up my Tesco profile, it might be interesting to see what vouchers they send me now.
    Tesco trolleys here I come.

Definitely a local thing. My friend saves all his tesco receipts for me, so I often hand in 20 at a time with no problems.

I have tried to persuade him to use a clubcard, but he reckons it isn't worth his while:confused:

I tried this today at Longton, SOT and ended up with 59 extra points from unclaimed receipts. Not a lot but a start anyway.

Maybe we all need jobs as litter pickers
