Tescos Clubcard Points

Hi All,
Not sure how 'legal' this is but I was going into Tesco's the other day and the trolley I used had a recipt lying in it which had not had its clubcard points collected. So I chanced my arm and asked the customer services to add them to my account, which they did without question, account is now better off by 107 points. Since then i've found other vouchers worth about 150 points, now I'm not talking about hunting through the bins or anything, just discards lying in the trolleys.
Does anyone else do this, is there any potential problems, anyone have any comments.
Bye for now
Jim

I've done it lots too. I don't make it obvious but always choose the trolley with all the rubbish in!0

Good idea! I'll be checking all the trollys tomorrow...0

Yep I do this as well for two reasons, points obviously, but I also get some satisfaction from knowing that I am screwing tesco's profile of my shopping habits. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

The lenghs we'll go for a few extra p. Why not try looking in the gutter outside the store as well!you go all your life thinking that money and comfort will bring you happiness only to find all you need is something to be enthusiastic about.:j0

nothing wrong with it at all. it just the same as when a lady in front of me said once i don't have a clubcard so if u want let the cashier scan yours so u can have my points. only happened once and the lady only spend £8. but it just the same.
if my hubby has put petrol in car he would give me the receipt so i could get point's added later on.0 -
Do they not normally need you to sign the receipt, whenever I forget my card I have to get them to sign the receipt for me so I can get the points added next time.2p off is still 2p off!0

done this loads and whats even sadder is now me and me missus compete with each other in who can find the most points... *sigh*...
Anyway best thing about it is that we build up the points otherwise they are just wasted and no doubt go towards tescos huge profits!
p.s. i read somewhere that its tesco policy to only accept 4 receipts at any one time.ummm...0 -
Funny you should say this,i found a receipt in a basket last night for a £106 spend with no points taken.I was going to "redeem" it at the CS desk but changed my mind due to the receipt being paid by maestro card,i wasnt sure if this would show up at the CS desk when they input the info.Would i have been ok or not?.Btw the tesco fuel garages is a excellent area for discarded receipts+they nearly always have a substantial total on them.0
