A friend has asked me if it's cheaper to get tickets for wet n wild over here or over there.

Over here! If they are going to Universal/Seaworld/Islands of adventure too, then a 4 park flex ticket would work out cheap and runs for 14 consecutive days. Or, if they are also going to Busch gardens then a 5 park flex ticket.
We've been 6 times and have never been able to get cheaper tickets over there. I use Mercury travel for both tickets and the whole holiday. Excellent prices and CS. Ask for Toby!
