Are you just using one finger? Mine plays up when I am not careful to keep my other hand away from it. How old is your lappy?

  • Acer Aspire 7520 - maybe 2 years old. I dont think it is anything to do with how many fingers. The problem is intermittant - sometimes it is ok -and it happens with other users - not just me.

Hmmm... I have an Acer Aspire 3660 series with a pad, about three years old. It behaves but that is just mine...it's possible that the pad is worn and is giving a false signal... have you got a mouse you can plug in to check it is the pad? If the mouse works fine then it's likely to be the pad, if the mouse does the same thing as the pad then it could be a software issue... hope that helps x
