Help needed re car insurance

Hi all, just after a bit of advice really. My car insurance is shortly due for renewal so using Martin's guide I got several quotes from the comparison sites. The cheapest quote I got was for £239 (Sheilas Wheels) through moneysupermarket.com. So from there I wanted to see if I could bring the price down by going through a cashback site, which I did. So I went through cashbackkings who offer £45 cashback for Sheilas Wheels, clicked through to Sheilas Wheels, got a quote which came out at a whopping £330! I made sure I had all the same info, excesses etc as the cheap quote through moneysupermarket so I don't understand how the quote is so high! Does anyone know of a reason for this?

Also, I have read somewhere that moneysupermarket offer £50 cashback but I can't find out how to get it. Could someone please help?

Using moneysupermarket.com my details came up with Diva and Swinton giving £50 cash back, if you go though them.

I had the same experience of a price going up when I tried Quidco.

I managed to get a similar price, with ability to pay monthly for no extra charge from Saga ( one of the joys of being an old biddy)
