I have a credit card that has a limit of £7750 and a balance of £4000. Which would look better when applying for a lower interest rate card, if I left it how it was or decreased the credit limit? If decreasing should I decrease it right down to £4000 or would that look bad? Any advice?

If it is your only debt and your annual income is considerably more than £7750, I think your position is stronger with high credit limit.0
