Free Rail card - false advertising?

Hey I opened a natwest student account back at the end of november and ive been waiting for my 'welcome pack' with the rail card application pack in it since then. i rang today to ask why i havent recieved it yet they said its been over 15 days or something and ive left it too late???

According to this thread, to get the railcard you must ...-Open a Student Account between 9th June 2008 and 31st October 2008
-Be starting their first year of full time undergraduate study
-use their NatWest Student Account as their main account
- register for and use online banking
So as the account was opened after the end of October, you did not qualify for the railcard.0 -
But I applied in branch September the account application was mixed up in branch. So it took an extra month or so for them to open it.o__O0

In that case their system probably didn't send you the welcome pack, as officially you are ineligible for the offer.
