How to wire a light switch

Not to worry, I decided to get an electrician to do it.

    If you are only wiring 1 way circuits. Use the live and load terminals in the new switch. Where you have two reds going into the LH old switch, put them in the live terminal on the LH new switch, and the other red wire into the load terminal of the LH new switch. The same applies to the centre switch. On the RH switch take the wire from the far terminal in the picture and put it in the live terminal of the RH new switch. The remaining red goes in the load terminal of the RH switch.
    Basically, what your circuit is doing is to supply all three switches from one live wire. The three switched live wires then go to three different light fittings along with their associated neutrals. This is a fairly unusual way of wiring domestic lighting. It would be a good idea not to disconnect more than one wire at a time if you are unfamiliar with domestic wiring.

    just the need to ask, meant get a pro in.

    thats what the new laws were set for, not the competent diy er that was safe.
