I think so anyway.
I just ran a comparison on CompareTheMarket, looking for car insurance.
About 2mins later, I got an email from Kwik-Fit.
The subject line says:
Kwik-Fit weren't the top price on either.
On CompareTheMarket, Kwik-Fit were second best, but with a £100 higher excess than the top one.
On Tesco Compare, they weren't in the top 3-4.
I'm thinking they just send that email to anyone who runs a search, hope they don't actually check the details, and sign up to it.
A warning to you all.

Ahhh, that'll be where they got my phone number from then!
I renewed in December and over the last couple of weeks we've had numerous phone calls where the caller has hung up when the answerphone kicks in. I googled the number and it turned out to be Kwik Fit insurance. I used Confused.com to find comparisons...
Cheeky so and so's!0 -

wait til they start calling you
4 years in a row they call me in Dec to quote me, they seem to stalk me for that month, despite me in no uncertain terms many times to stop calling, last year i had to threaten them with the ombudsman before they stopped
will wait and see if it worked come this dec
cos of all this even if they offered me a quote for £1 i still wouldnt go with them0 -
Awww why are you all so down on Kwik Fit, they are so nice that they always often your brakes without telling (Whether needed or no) because they are concerned about your safety.

Oh I forgot to mention earlier.. I emailed Kwik-Fit and told them about the "mistake".<details as above snipped>
I just thought I'd let you know.
I've also let the people at MoneySavingExpert know about this apparent issue you are having, in case any of them mistakenly think you are the cheapest.0
