New Benefit Rates 2009

Details of the new rates for State benefits can be found by clicking on the link below. PLEASE NOTE these rates come into effect on 6th April 2009.

  • The new rates of course will be quite generous as they are based on septembers RPI of 5%+ RPI is now 0.1%

    Is the age addition of IB being rejucied over time or am i reading it wronge and being daft thanksxx

    Seaside: Yes it looks to me too that the age addition for Incapacity Benefit is being reduced. However, say at the moment you were getting Long-Term IB of £84.50 and then the age addition of £17.75. You'd be on £102.25 now. But from April you'd get Long-Term IB of £89.90 and then the age addition of £15.65. You'd be on £105.55 from April. So, your IB would actually go UP in total in April.
