really sorry guys - looking for some help, (not sure if anyone can) and a moan!!
the only benifits we are entitled to are child tax and child benifit.
i have just started back to work part time after having children, however, i the work im being offered is less than 6 hours a week!! my hubby works full time earning 30k.
we own our own home, but as we all know, it never rains it pours!!
we live in our over draft and have dept, that has buit up over time.
i dont know if there is any financial help out there other than what we allready claim (i have 2 young children) , but no harm in asking.....
our wireing has recently been described as dangerous by a electrician and we still have some copper wireing in our house,
our central heating system is 33 years old, and our house rarley gets above 15 degrees,
damp is taking over our house, more and more black spots are appearing.
our flat roof today sprung a leak, and the plaster is starting to fall off the ceiling, and our shower blew up yesterday along with the washing machine which now refuses to work.
AAAGGGGGHHHH!!
we can barley afford to feed ourselfs at the moment, and live in fear of falling behind on mortgage payments if we were to take out a loan to start repairs etc.
Is there any help for people who are not on a "low income" but still need help?
thanks in advance

Ask your local council if they can help, the council here have just started a scheme whereby people who are not on benefits, but have a need for house repairs etc (and can't afford to pay for it themselves) can apply for help. There are various grants out there but it's just a case of knowing where to look. Good luck.KEEP CALM AND keep taking the tablets :cool2:0

Have you checked out the debt free wannabe board for advice with paying your debts, and also help with reducing your outgoings?
I'm sure there are grants out there but if you don't take steps to improve your finances you are only placing a sticking plaster over a gaping hole!
Also check out the oldstyle board for help with reducing your living costs, and the Up your income board for ideas regarding extra income..

So you earn at least 35k a year, yet are expecting someone to pay for the fact that you ran up huge debts?
You have to take responsibility for your own actions. This means sorting out your debts, working harder to repay them and being responsible with every last penny earned. It also means no holidays, no cigarettes/alcohol, no ready meals - nothing.
You simply cannot go begging to others because of your own financial irresponsibility. If you cannot afford your mortgage, then downsize. From Poland...with love.

firstly, i never said they were huge depts, secondly, i thought this board was to offer help to people and share info, not to judge them as you read.

well, you could try and spell correctly in the first instance.
its benefits not benifits
its debt and not dept - abbreviation for department.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -

It's benefits, not benifits and it's debt, not dept; abbreviation for department.
Welshmoney your comments are not welcome on this board. This board is designed to help people who are struggling and need advice on the benefits they maybe entitled to. Some individuals may be under stress and spelling will be the last thing on their mind. BTW your grammar is appalling, I have corrected this for you.
To the op, your household income is well above average so it is very unlikely you will be entitled to anything.
If you're struggling with debts or keeping up with payments get in touch with the CAB who can offer you advice. Good luck!0 -

but thanks for your help polish spender. really usefull!!
Best to ignore PBS, they are just trying to sh*t stir, another poster has pointed this out but they are still doing it.
As to your query I also think your income is too high to get any help.0 -

If they're not huge, why are you struggling for money? Even after tax, 35k a year is a huge amount of money. People live here on 6k for a couple - so really, you should have no problem.
As I said, you need to get your own affairs in order before approaching others for handouts. Grants certainly aren't available for people who are simply financially irresponsible. From Poland...with love.

I don't think you are speaking fact, just your own stupid trolling opinion.0
