in Credit cards
I have had an MBNA Credit Card for years and have a £4,400 limit on it, this I have gone up to in the past I have now paid off nearly a £1000 of it so it's down to £3,400, but it is very slow going. It seems that although I try to pay over the monthly amount but it seems that very little of it goes to paying off the amount and goes on interest, etc.. I have tried to get other cards to transfer the payment but it seems that my credit rating isn't high enough although I went to a Credit rating site and they say that my rate is excellent.
So I am a little confused and desperate to get this credit card paid off. Any suggestions??

Hi casey65,
If you have a good credit rating, you may be able to apply for a 0% balance transfer card. The best ones are listed on this page: http://www.stoozing.com/0fees.php
Remember though, since you have an MBNA card already, it's probably best not to apply for another MBNA card (which includes MBNA, Virgin, or Alliance&Leicester).
If your credit rating isn't so good, or if you're after ways to save money and therefore have more money to put towards your debt, go over to the Debt Free Wannabe board, the people there have lots of really good tips.
EDIT: Just seen your bit about saying you've been rejected for other cards. which other cards have you been rejected for? Are you on the electoral roll at your current address? You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
I have applied for a few cards, which I now realise isn't a very good idea! but one of the card was Virgin I didn't know it was part of the MBNA group. I am on a learning curve!! I am on the electoral roll.0
