Hi All,
Apart from Cap1 are there any other providers that will issue a 'Gaurenteed CCard"? Also helpful if it can be charged with cash so has a 'credit balance' if spending limits are low - Capital One will not allow this.
Need it as going overseas and need Credit Card to pay for bills (Car Hire, Hotel etc) with companies that will not accept switch/electron etc.
Any help much appreciated!

Hi gshi
Have a look at this link. Its a pre-paid mastercard. yes there are fees etc but if it fits the bill it might be ok. I use one as have a dreadful credit rating it works for me. i know others will slate it for charges etc but its horses for courses.

If you are unable to get a credit card you could also consider the prepaid travellers cheque card that American Express are now offering.0

Barclaycard have a card for people with impaired credit I think.
A few late payments should not necessarily prevent you getting a card from someone like nationwide - it depends how many, how long ago and whether you technically defaulted (more than 2 payments missed in a row) and whether your accounts are now back in order.
Several people are doing pre-paid cards now - but I think these work like electron and solo and will only work with online retailers - otherwise they would be a massive fraud risk.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
