The well known Stott Hall Farm straddles the centre of the motorway. A myth dictates that the motorway splits as the owners of the farm refused to sell up. one of the episodes concentrated on the construction of this bit of motorway, how long it took and how horrendous the weather conditions were.

I go past that farm on a fairly regular basis Linda - when they build the motorway they tried to force him to sell up, but he wouldn't, so they had to build around him. He used to sit on his roof and play a fiddle in protest (according to my Mum.....who isn't the most reliable source of information :rotfl:).
That's an urban myth, the motorway is actually split for geological reasons.

EDIT: Numpty beat me to it!It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
