This is my first post as well. Have been reading all the stories on here for the past few weeks and had LBM. I am in much the same situation as you. Lloyds TSB seemed to love me too and got Platinum card and loan and lots of other cards in between!!!
Anyway after reading lots on here got in touch with CCCS and spoke to a great lady who advised me that the best course would be br. I live in Scotland so it is slightly different up here but have printed off the forms and am slowly going through them.
Hopefully one day we can look at this and not feel guilty. I feel that I have failed on so many counts, but at least my doggies still love me!! It can only get better, can't it
Hi scarednshakin
Welcome along...congrats on your first post.
There are a few Scottish peeps on here so any questions ask away.

Hiya scarednshakin
welcome to the madhouse! as SSA said we have a few scottish peeps that have been through the process, you deserve a huge pat on the back for getting so far.....it'll have its up & down days going through bankruptcy BUT it does get better thats for sureWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Thanks so much for the messages they mean so much. It seems you go through so long not talking about money (at least in our house you do) and then when you come on here it is great. Thanks for the pat on the back I think I need it today - phone keeps ringing and I keep telling it to be quiet!
O/H has finaly realised that things are bad and has accepted that this is the only thing I can do - bit of a LBM for him too.
I have two girls who are 9 and 5 and mean the world to me, this is why I am trying to sort things out. My doggies are a very old lady who just turned 13 also a couple of years ago we rescued a 6 year old nutter who had 6 homes before us and another 2 year old who will eat anything that moves and most stuff that doesn't. His philosophy is 'its mine', they are shelties.
Anyway I have loads of questions, not sure if I add them on here or start another one? Newbie and it shows, anyway away to see what nice mail I have received this morning. Have made token payments (this site is great for advice) for this month but not sure if it is worth it now I am going b/r
Better go before the dog eats the mail, then again maybe that might not be such a bad idea, letters what letters:rolleyes::idea: Had lbm, switched it off too many times. Now am trying to sort my life out :T:T

Hehe...mine are border collies...never thought about feeding them the mail...would save on food bills!!:D
Do start your own thread...many do a diary thread to help both themselves & others to keep track of the process.
Glad to hear that money ( or lack of it!!) has become hot topic in your household!

Hi to both of you and well done for starting to sort it out, here you will find only kind and helpful people some like me who have started the ball rolling and others who have been through the mill already.
I like yourselves had to face up to debt, not nice I know but I know by leaving it and leaving it things could only get worse. Yes I used the cards and yes I took out the loans, I wish they had of said no but as we all now know bonus culture and profiteering within the banking system was rife.
So don't blame yourselves open up a new thread and get asking.
