Hi ya hope someone can help? Me and OH have just bought a house. I was having problems with my life insurance because of a mistake in my medical records. I’ve been writing to the hospital, doctors requesting my notes on the freedom of information act. But no one would reply to me. Anyway my broker has tried everything to get me cover but everyone said no. so we decided to go ahead with buying the house as it was going cheap for us from a family member. We didn’t want to rent forever so what choice did we have.
In the mean time our broker was waiting for new special risks companies to start in Jan 2006 they try all different insurance companies for people with risks. This week not only has the special risks said no, my OH has been made redundant and I have just found out in pregnant. Also not covered by insurance because it’s been less than three months.
What should we do?
Thanks in advance.

Cant help you with insurance issue but sorry to hear of the redundancy and WELL DONE on expecting a baby!
You have had a lot to absorb this week, but as you both adjust to it all I'm sure your OH will be able to get something else soon even if temporarily, and the insurance issue will be dealt with in time. Good Luck....0 -
congratulations on your preganancy
if i were you go to the citizens advice buerua (spelling is c**p) i know and get some help also apply for as many benefits as you can today there are lots of helpful links on other boards within this forum
with reagrds to your medical records your doctors surgary can provide a copy for fee (usually between £30 and £60) depending on the surgary, if you have any quiries about them make an appointment with you gp to address them
as for your partner sorry about the redundancy but again this will mean that you will qualifiy for benefits
also consider paying any redundancy payoff straight off your mortgage you will have to check what the maximum amount of savings you are allowed to qualify for benefits if the money exceeds the amount of savings you are allowed i would do that to avoid missing out on any benefits.Well we finally did it got a house not on a main road, next a railway line or any other werid and wonderful things that get on my nerves!!!
