Theres been plenty of reports on here about estate agents picking up and also reports of first time buyer coming Back but these figures are amazing.
I just done a search for Gloucester on rightmove, now we all know that sstc does not always transfer to sales buy the figures do make it look like people are making offers.
I done a search for properties from minimum to 150,000 pounds and over 40 properties went SSTC today:shocked:
Gloucester houses 51 gone sstc since january the 15th 2009 and this is the shocking bit, 44 of them went sstc after this weekend the 9th of feb.
Im not doing this to start a slanging match im just showing people things do look like they are moving, whether they convert to sales we will have to wait and see.
If anyone want to have a look here.

Your link is just to the front page and I have no idea how you worked that out otherwise I'd look at Worcestershire, see if it's the same up the road!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Okay, I've not been as analytical as you because I have a tiny screen and can hardly fit the toolbar on the page but there are a lot of properties gone SSTC today where I live too. Hardly any of them are SSTC from before today.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Blimey in my area some that have been hanging around in the 500k - 700k range are SSTC. It must have been bedlam over the weekend for EAs. Bet they had a damn good drink on Sunday night.0

Someone local to me has had an offer on their property, asking price £635k and on for 7 weeks and has offered on another local property, asking price £995k which had been on for 18 weeks
Another on at £1.95m was dropped to £1.5m and is now under offer after 39 weeks.
Another was on for only 2 weeks at £375k, dropped to £329k and is now SSTC
Someting going on, for sure .....Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

Unbelievable. In the village where nothing ever sells, two houses went under offer today - there are 9 houses on the market there. Honestly, hardly anything ever sells the prices are so ridiculous.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Our friends had a cash offer of £435k on their £450k house today - been on the market nearly a year.
So how come all this is happening? The news about the economy has been worse today. Whats causing people to buy/offer?0 -
Dunno. A lot of the sales in the lower price bracket have a decent reduction, say 15%, on them but as you go up the prices don't make so much sense. House that's been on the market for well over a year with several prices reductions, none of late, under offer. Other houses relatively new to the market with very 'normal' looking prices also under offer.
People shopping for cheaper mortgages? Or ugly houses? Lots of ugly houses under offer today.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

It's amazing what a month of erroneous Halifax figures can do0
