I asked r.e these a long while back and thought at the weekend i had cracked it! went to B&Q and got the whole unit with the shelves in it as down from £60 to £32 and got home to find the shelves are the oddest size and nowhere near fit! any ideas where to get the shelves from as getting to the point where we are going to have to have them made.
Thanks

What are you trying to fit them into?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hopefully easy to understand but if you are not sure what i mean i will try and locate a picture! basically lots of kitchens have the units etc built then there is a narrow gap with say 5 slim shelves going up..supposedly for wine/bottles. We have that gap and no shelves and seeing as the 'bit' is built in we do need the actual shelves to fit which is proving very hard!0

we have the actual outer bit built in our kitchen so just need those 4 shelf pieces to fit in, as you can see buying it is very pricey for what it is!0 -
How wide is your unit? As far as I knew, all the wine racks are 150mm, it shouldn't be that hard to get the shelves to fit in. Not in your experience, obviously! Sometimes the unit is built with shelves, sometimes you buy a separate insert.
I'm kitchen shopping over the next couple of weeks so if you tell me what the unit size is and what the gap is inside, I'll have a look too.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hi thanks for the reply, it is very kind of you but i gave up the ghost yesterday and have had them made! collected yesterday and they are in the garage painted ready to be popped in place..all for £4.50! obviously won't look as fab but as you only see the front bits i don't care and they will have the strip stuff on the edges so will look the same from the front!
Went to B&Q and they have another one that looked ok but was £100..i think not!0 -
£100 seems to be a hell of a lot of money for such a basic fitting. Sounds as if B&Q have gone into rip-off mode.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I think £100 is ridiculas especially as it is just for show as we dont even drink wine!! it is this one they reckon will fit in the gap but tbh i am fed up of getting things that don't fit.
