FYI: Telefonica cheque for O2 shares @£2 arrived today

You'll recall that Telefonica SA from Spain have bought out O2 plc.
I was one of the shareholders that accepted the offer and sent off my share certificate within the timetable last Dec.
Had been wondering when it was coming. There were references in the media 2 weekends back that imminent.
Anywayz got my 'IMPORTANT' long-white envelope this morning dated 6/2 with cheque at £2/share.
No idea if/how they stagger despatch - eg by surname or shareholder number - but if you accepted offer/sent certificate guess you should be expecting your cheque imminently.

My husbands came yesterday.
Was only saying to him over the weekend is it not about time we had the cheque.
His surname starts with a letter in the second half of the alphabet.
So have no idea in what order they are sending them out in.

My mother-in-law's shares came today made out to the wrong name. Has anyone got a telephone number for Telefonica SA as MIL only seems to have an address and we want to telephone them to sort it out.

you should have had your cheque by now, they were all sent out in february. assuming you sent back your 02 share certificate to the 02 registrars i would get in contact with them to find out where your cheque is tomorrow. i think it was lloydstsb registrars?? but you will be able to check on the documentation that came with your offer details who registrar is0 -
Sorry bit of an old one this!
I did not return anything within the allocated time to 02 or Telefonica. Have I lost my shares? I did not have too many but still....
