Tesco CC - have I been accepted?

I'm a bit confused! I applied for a Tesco CC earlier today and was advised of my credit limit, asked to tick the box for an online agreement and advised that as I had successfully applied that I could also apply for a savings account. It then said that they just had to do some further checks and I would be contacted within 10 days. Have I been accepted or not???

  • It sounds as if you have applied for a card and will find out in due course whether you have been accepted.

You got further than me though when I applied. I *didn't* get told my credit limit and then was told they would get back to me. They declined me about 2 weeks later.
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

What's confusing me is how can they issue a credit agreement if I haven't been accepted and tell me that I've successfully applied

You have successfully applied, you have completed a credit agreement.

Tesco have not accepted you at that point.

Sounds like your application has been 'referred', so basically, no decision yet. Sorry!!

If you've been provided a credit limit then I feel you've been accepted.
  • If you propose to someone then you have successfully applied to marry them. You then wait to hear if they have accepted you.

    Just a little analogy.

  • Hi i applied for a Tesco CC recently and the same. They rang me a couple of days later, asked me some finance questions (not very probing really) and then approved my application.

  • I applied this evening for a Tesco CC was accepted with a good credit limit and 16.9% APR and 0% balance transfer rate.... is that the process done and how long do they take to send the card and agreement etc?

It doesnt warn you they are doing a credit check at any point, just filled in my salary details and suddenly it said Congratualtions and gave the credit limit on my card.

    Any advice would be welcome...?:T

I did the same this week-applied on line told my credit limit then said they needed to do further checks. Had a letter yesterday and they want 3 months worth of bank statements-to show wages going in presumably and copy of P60. HTH
