ipod classic v ipod touch?

Yes, thanks everyone for the advice so far. Im still torn between buying now and waiting to see if a larger capacity touch model will come out. The wifi / web / email aspect is really appealing.

I have had a 20Gb iPod, 4GB Nano and my iPhone and i have to say that i love my iPhone, i would be devastated if anything happened to it. Now, saying that the iPhone./Touch is the best personal music device one could hope for.

Somebody name me another device that allows you to play games, watch videos and listen to music all on the one device!!!!

I would recomend that you get the iTouch.

Both are far better than iPod.

I can not agree more. I had an iPod and it was awful - battery life is rubbish and the forced encoding is tiresome. Swapped over to a creative zen (got one on the official site, refurb, for abotu £40) Battery outlasts my ability to use it and you can use SD cards to expand!

Sorry no matter what, you can't compare ipod/itouch with Zen. The design alone beats Zen hands down not talk of the effects.

I have an iPod classic and my brother-in-law has an iPod Touch. I must say, I am tempted bythe Touch!

Being able to check emails, running apps such as calendar, notes etc, watching AND downloading YouTube videos, podcasts without linking to a PC... the advantages are numerous.

i bought my daughter the 32gb touch for christmas to update her ipod nano and she loves it - we joke that it would even do the washing up one day as it does so much stuff.....she thinks its amazing and is never off it....the screen is brilliant and it has sooo much storage its unbelievable....

it mightve been dear but was well worth it

I had a Creative Zen before purchasing my ipod touch and I have to say the ipod touch is so much better, more features, email, internet, and games but it was twice the price. Worth every penny imo!
My zen had a heavy item dropped on it and broke the lcd screen so it turned black, I couldn't get a new screen to replace it and creative where non too helpful when I asked them for a quote to do it .
