Cable TV - Virgin remote control sound buttons not working

Hi,

We've got a Samsung vbox SMT-2110T and an LG Flatron M198WA0 BZ.

Recently the volume and mute keys on the virgin remote control have made no difference to the sound however the remote control does everything else it used to.

I've reinserted the scart to both the tv and vbox and tried on AV1 and AV2. AV2 gives no input, AV1 as explained above.

I've gone into both the audio settings on the TV and vbox and can't see anything to fix it.

Also tried some new batteries in the remote.

Any ideas?

The Home Button for me has Home written in grey above the button and the button itself says Guide. Pressing this gives me a TV Guide, 5 on demand services, a couple of other things and then Help & Info. Help then shows Virgin TV amongst others but there's no mention of TV Control Codes in here.

Weve had a few sound problems with virgin, first there was no sound coming out the box but sound out our sound bar and when i asked virgin for help they said they send signals down the boxes and they sometime affected the audio settings and true enough when i went into the audio settings there was one setting sitting at 0 so a quick toggle back up to 10 and there was sound from the box. The next time it happened it had a mute sign up i just reset the box a few times and the sound came back on.

Great thanks - saynoto0870.com converts it to either 01752 300300 or 0151 4777590

No, I do, they were no use though.

in what way? they dont list your TV or the remote doesnt work regardless?

The options on screen don't fix the problem.
