okay, i was OTT and i apologise unreservedly to Lisaand any other posters i have caused offence to , i am not normally so judgemental and do my best to treat people as i would liketo be treated myself. Dont know what happened tonight though. I, of course, realise that some people have to go BR and that there are genuine people who cant pay
rather than wont pay, unfortunately my experience was with the latter and i let it cloud my judgement.
For what its worth, personally i would just say nothing about the £300, in todays terms it,s not a great deal of money when bank bosses are getting half million £ bonuses, but as another poster says i would declare the increase in salary just for peace of mind. Sorry Lisa. Have a virtual glass of red on me. (i cant find a wine smilie, so you'll have to have a lager instead):beer:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Hi everyone,
Just logged on and cuaght this thread and I am glad it has a happy ending .... looked a bit iffy at the start but then you all sorted it out like sensible human beings.....
Lisa, the question of bonus payments comes up quite often and it well deserves to be aired because a lot of us are in the same boat. My reply would be exactly as annie has said above. Keep the bonus to yourself (and enjoy a treat or two) and declare the % increase. Lucky you, a whole 3% - we got a cut!!
Good Luck..

Good Morning
Its ok Annie i completley understand people will do what ever they can to screw the system, someone i work with is a classic example and i have no idea how she gets away with what she does whilst i have sleepless nights over 3% and £300 pounds .........
I want to thank everyone else for your posts, but surley they will want to see a payslip and the bonus will be on it ?

I am not sure that they will, so much of the OR work is done on trust. I think you may just get a form to put your new income v outgoings on.
As it is a one off payment even if you were to declare the bonus it could well get a "no interest" from the OR.
Remember, they are snowed under at the moment.
