"you know someone who got away with it" so you are actually saying that you do realise that you do have to declare it. Are you seriously asking us to help you "get away with it" toomake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

no actually i am not asking for your help to " get away with it" i actually had not finished my sentence typing mistake, i do apologise your moral high ground ....... i was wondering what checks they put in place to check people that have huge salary increases but do not pay anything, thank you ..... i have more than paid my dues and do not appreciate your snotty remarks.0

Hi Lisa,
Dont know if this helps hun but I was talking to someone recently who is still undischarged and he had a temp contract which was to bring him in just over £2k for 3 weeks work. He rang his OR to be on safe side but they said with it being a temp job and not a permanent change of circumstance that he could keep it! Maybe same with bonus too as they are one off? Maybe someone else with more experience in all this than me can help advice. Hope you get sorted! x
Heres to a brand new start!!;)

Lisac,
I would declare the cost of living rise as you have to notify the OR of any changes in your income. As for the £300, if it was me I wouldnt bother, it isnt a regular thing, and it can be absorbed into day to day living. As for the reply by Anniehanlon, sorry Lisac, some people just judge with without thinking. Ignore those uncalled for comments.0 -

If you were wondering what checks they put in place why didnt you just post exactly that. Read your post again
and ask yourself why i posted as i did.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Lisa,
I read your post as a genuine request for advice in this confusing world of BR. Didn't think you were trying to beat the system in any way what so ever, just like most of us worried about not doing things correctly. I would have asked the very same question! ((h))

Maybe i am biased, i have been screwed on more than one occasion from people who went BR and at one time saw one of them laugh there head off as they came out of court, then they got blind drunk at the pub next door.
Bitter, yeah, i do try not to be. but its difficult at times.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Hi Lisa,
I would have asked the same if it applied to me, as Simpsona said already i read it as a geniune query. There are plenty of people on here who will offer advise and support.
Anniehanlon,
I understand it is difficult not to be bitter when screwed over, but I do think that having read many posts on here most of us are in the worst postion of our lives and do not deserve to be judged as if we are taking out the easy route followed by a trip to the pub to laugh our heads off. There was no suggestion that that was Lisa's intention and I find it quite sad that you felt it appropriate to reply as you did.

I too know people who abuse the system and are 'wont pay' rather than 'cant pay'. I've been ripped off for thousands by so called business people and am also suspicious at times of peoples motives. I do still try to take people at face value and see the good in people. In my short time on here it feels that most people are in need of help. I do appreciate that everyone has their own experiances and I dare say I maybe bitter to some I know at the end of this journey but for now I'll try to be as supportive as I can as that's what I really need in return.

Hi annie
unfortunately it is the people like you have described which give the genuine BR's a bad name and that contribute to the stigma of BR for those that are not untrustworthy deceitful people.
we are not all out to cheat the system, just trying to find a way to survive through our own personal hell.
