these arent off the shelf jobs but are hand made and no chav fodder
  • Silly comparison, but I've highlight the important word there for you.

No you highlighted the wrong word. Nobody has died in an accident on the roads of the UK for years. Now collisions are a different matter.;)

They did that one already, apparently ..shock horror..if you buy a Chloe bag from the Far East for £20 it might not be real

Oh, and they've done the 'seller asked me to send a cheque to a third party as his paypal was broken and he turned out to be a scammer and ebay won't give me my money back'. one as well.

Never mind the real stories out there about older people living below the poverty line due to wrongly calculated utility bills or dodgy cars being sold by rogue traders lets just advertise ebay.

Edit: Just to add I have read many of Soolins posts and she is a very good board guide and very helpful and knowledgable regarding ebay and other matters. :)

To be fair, the standards of journalism displayed on Watchdog are pretty elementary, not particularly objective, and Nicky Campbell is hardly the denizen of broadcasting ettiquette. It's easy to see why people do not take it seriously, or pay much attention to the current "national disgrace" that they expose.

It's the Daily Mail in one succinct 30 minute blast. Lots of noise, bluster and hyperbole, and very little in the way of revelation or purpose. It's not top of my viewing agenda, and hardly what I would call an authority of integrity on consumer issues, and I can think of much better ways to spend those 30 minutes each week, rather than sat tutting and sighing in unison with an audience of NIMBY's.

It's not the first time something like this has happened. A few year's agao, Lidl were selling diver's knives. They had a 6 inch blade with flat end which wouldn't puncture a drysuit or BCD. Somebody complained about them selling "weapons" so it was withdrawn. A couple of weeks later they were selling kitchen knives without any complaints....
