Please help! (VM home phone line)

Hello,

I had a contract with VM for 12 months (phone and broadband) which finished in January. I decided to continue with a new package £18.95 phone and broadband.

They have re-activated my broadband but I have been waiting for nearly 2 weeks for them to reconnect my phone line (I waited last Saturday for an Engineer who never came but when I phoned them up, they said nothing had been booked on their system). I have been ringing them constantly (from my mobile) but now they are saying that 'the box is full' (I think they mean the one outside my house where all the phone lines are connected). I dont understand as I was only disconnected for 2 days before I asked them to reconnect me and I don't know of anyone in my area that has had a new line fitted.

Im really angry, this is really unacceptable-I am paying for a service which they arent providing

I would be really grateful for any advice-I have filled in a complaint form on their website.

Thanks!

if the complaint through their website doesn't work, write to the CEO (neil.berkett@virginmedia.co.uk), it worked for me...
within 2 hours of sending my email, 2 very useful and apologising persons of his office got back to me... problem sorted in 2 working days ;)

The box is probably full as they haven't disconnected the lines of people who have left and they haven't checked properly and realise there is actually room.

As you have broadband, I'd post in the very good support newsgroups.

The group you would require is: virginmedia.support.telephony

You'll need to set your newsreader (Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, Agent etc etc) up for: text.news.virginmedia.com

You don't don't need to tick "My news server requires me to log on" or select "No login required".

Support are there 7 days per week, 08:00 - 22:00.

Remember when you reply to reply under their quoted text or in-line and snip anything not relevant.

    See: http://www.virginmedia.com/newsgroups

It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
