House on market since Friday...two viewings...good?

We finally gave the approval for our EA brochure on Friday, it went on the EA website on friday and Right Move on saturday - we got a call saturday afternoon to arrange a viewing for today and I got a call today to arrange a viewing for tomorrow...
I just wondered if it was usual to get lots of viewings to start with, only for them to tail off? The couple today made all the right noises, look to be FTB's with family in the area etc, how soon could we expect an offer if they were going to? (they did ask if many people had looked and I told them the truth about it only going up Friday and someone coming tomorrow etc).
We've not found a house for us yet (the repo went, but I was glad in the end as I want to move villages), I'd assumed we would start looking in earnest once we'd had viewers or an offer on ours but it struck me today that not having a house yet might be a negative to buyers as they might think it will hold them up...
So many questions, sorry for being such a n00b!:o

You don't want viewers - you want buyers! Ask for feedback from the EA. Sometimes they ask and sometimes they don't. I don't know why not as it'll help identify what a buyer is looking for ...0

Hi PS - I doubt they'll have FB yet as they only left 3 hours ago, LOL!! When we viewed a house recently, we weren't called for FB until 5 days later.
I know we want buyers not viewers, but its a start, right!:p0 -
Two viewings so far is good. It normally takes a week to build up momentum - ad in the paper, rightmove etc. yes, it can tail off after the initial marketing period.
Start looking yourself tentatively. Normally the advice would be not to look until you've got an offer but in this market you need to be prepared to negotiate. If you do get a low offer it's worth trying to negotiate the price of the house you want in a downwards direction as well if it then allows you to accept a lower offer on yours. You want to look at the cost of changing house rather than cry over the price of yours, iyswim
You might wait a day or so for a second viewing but people normally offer within a day of deciding - whether that was on the first or second viewing. Honestly, if I don't get a call about 11am the next morning, I assume it's a no-goer. If the viewing is on Saturday, then an offer would come on Monday. The last house we sold was harder to call - I've never had a second viewing that didn't result in an offer and last time we had a few - must be the market.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
