Air Asia Free Flights

Air Asia, from 4.00 pm have started their free flights campaign. You have to pay taxes and extras for meals and baggage etc.
We just managed to book a one way flight (25 October) from Kualar Lumpur to Brisbane for 391 ringits = £72.70(£36.35 each) for the two of us including baggage up to 20kgs, meals, prebooked seats and the Skybus to the LCCT terminal. This ties in nicely with our flight London to KL which we bagged when they were offering them for £99 + extras
Book from 10th February - 15th, Travel from 12th October 2009 - 31st January 2010.
The site is rather slow, presumably due to demand, but it gets there eventually.
We are also looking at flights to Langkawi which are free (100 ringits with taxes and luggage = £18.60 (also back from Langkawi is 100 ringits). But the normal flights are only 35 ringits each way, so not such a bargain
AIR ASIA
Hope this is of use to some folks

No the £99+ was back in November and they sold out very fast. It was when they just launched the service to KL from Stanstead, which doesn't actually commence until March.
Ironically it is going to cost us more to go Manchester to Stanstead, than Kl to Brisbane!!0 -

what a shame was looking foward to a nice cheap asian holiday with my family..... oh well, its still cheap really ( best part of a grand for 2 adults and 3 kids........)0 -
It worked for me in principle - but I'd be more interested in offers from UK in the future. Thanks and enjoy your trip.0

thanks for this!
I read this yesterday and looked at the available free flights. Flights to Kuala Lumper from Stansted now range from £300 to over £800 return during December.
It took a bit of fiddling to get the cheaper flights to Kuala Lumper to match with the free Bali flights, but I made it work eventually!
thanks to this post, last night we booked a 2 week holiday to Bali over christmas and new year for roughly £1300 for 2 people. :T
The cost breakdown is as follows:
flights from stansted to kuala lumper - £600 return for 2 people inc taxes
2 hotel stopovers in Kuala lumper - £140 for 2 people
flights to Bali from Kuala Lumper - £65 in taxes return for 2 people
ten nights hotel and breakfast in Bali - £400 for 2 people
pre-booked day trips to monkey temple and volcano - £100 for 2 people
that's 13 nights for about £1300 - works out as £50 each per day including flights and hotel.
The cheapest london - Bali flights + accommodation package from expedia on the same dates for the same hotel is currently showing as £2799! :eek:0
