Hi
Can someone advise if it is possible to raise a small court claim against someone if they reside in Dubai?
Not sure if this can be done or if court papers need to go to the managing agent.
Any help much appreciated.

If you can file locally the punishment is a lot more brutal but then I guess you maybe knew that?
Having bad debt in Dubai = deportation at minimum.
Merely contacting a lawyer out there might get you some action.0 -
What was the address given to you in the tenancy agreement for the service of Notices? (usually mentions S48 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, some where at the start)0

First of all, the contract is governed by english law, not UAE law. Second, the LL is legally obliged to provide you with an address for service. This must be an address in England or Wales.
Issue the court summons to the service address in your Tenancy agreement. Then, if he doesn't respond, pursue the debt in Dubai via local solicitors.0
