I expect this question is old hat to most of you but despite trawling through these ore-2007 threads I can't find anyone saying they have used one of these companies with success or failure. I have a guy phoning me on monday to whom I intend paying 2x £295 up front to look into whether 2 loans can be reduced. I am assured it takes less than 12 weeks to confirm whether it is possible, likely less, and if not I get a full refund. The up front payment makes sense to me as if they got back to you with good news, you'd simply say thanks and do the rest yourself without paying them a fee, once you knew you had a case. Yes it sounds to good to be true but also no harm trying if I get my cash back?
I don't accept that there are no anecdotes of experience with these companies because of those succeeding being "gagged", since the forum's are completely anonymous anyway!
So has anyone heard of anything anywhere, on these forums or elsewhere to suggest that I'd be stupid to pay over the money? Please, only fact-based answers rather than "you should pay your debts you bad person you" or "sounds like a scam to me".
Thanks for reading.
It appears there no verified, documented cases of of any success that anyone can find.0 -
I wonder if people realise that getting any kind of credit after pulling a stunt like this will be virtually impossible.
remember that panorama programme about the 'secret' database of problem construction workers.
the same goes on in the banking world but for problem customers.
is it worth it to get a few hundred or a few k wiped off?0 -

What do you think National Hunter is? Oh no! I've said too much!
Or maybe it's just your paranoia. What would William Shatner do?0 -
This thread just re-enforces something else that is wrong with our society now.People who see no shame in trying to renege on paying off debts.
Far too many on here are trying it on now.Your all adults and most have the ability to think for themselves and knew they were borrowing and would be paying it back with interest.
Our society needs to get away from the attitude of "I want it now and I will have it now",it seems that those who save up before buying something are now in the minority.
There are NO excuses ......NONE :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks to those who gave a meaningful reply.
It is a real shame that poeple wit hthe need to respond with their opinions rather than a response to the question. If you don't want to answer constructively just walk away and leave the thread for those who do.
The biggest problem this site has is not spammers but people providing their opinions where they are not asked for, in domse desperate effort to validate their apparent mediocre intellect. Very frustrating.0 -

Is that your opinion??0 -
People have every right to comment on what they see as irresponsible behaviour by a few.People who try and wriggle out of paying off their debts using loophones make things difficult for the rest of us as it makes obtaining credit more expensive for everybody.0

Hi folks
We have only published a brief piece on this so far, but are working on something more comprehensive, but obviously need to do our full research on this very carefully
