You don't automatically have a right to cancel, think there is a 7 day cooling off period for items bought online, but not sure if that applies to holidays, and anyhow has passed in your case.

Sounds like the best idea is to hope that other people's more positive reviews might be your experience and go with an open mind.

7 day period for Distance Selling Regulations DOES NOT apply to holidays or travel.

  • we booked with haven one year and changed our minds about parks, they were happy to chance the booking for us to a different park, think i paid a small admin fee, but if you are really concerned, ring them and ask them to do that for you instead.

Just remember with most things if something goes wrong or is not the way a person wants it to be THEY MOAN to EVERYONE. There are FAR MORE people that after having a GOOD TIME DON'T bother to let anyone barring friends and family what it is like

Hi we went to Haggerston Castle last year for a short break and have to say although we had no complaints with the park the caravan was very very dirty and basic.

We had booked through the sun holidays and were told an upgrade was not available and there were plenty in the same boat as us as they were queuing out the reception door. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if you have to go try and make the most of it.

  • Hi In Debt

It was the most basic caravan as I said it was a sun £9.50 holiday, however we went on another sun break last year and paid a bit extra to upgrade and the van was fine although it was a different park.
