Yes, send off for your CCAs, but please be aware, CCCS will NOT become involved in the legal aspect of a CCA.massivedebts wrote: »Hello
I'm just about to enter into a DMP with CCCS, for which my OH and I have 5 credit cards, is it worth sending off for a CCA before we commit to the DMP ,or am I on the wrong track.

Hi
Thanks for responding. I'm new to all this lark and I apologise if I come across as a bit daft! I have been reading bits of threads here and there which is how I came across CCA'S. I am not entirely sure what they are or what they mean, it just seems that many people are talking about requesting them. Do you have time to explain them to me?
ThanksFinally brave enough to deal with my debts!
CCCS DMP - 1.4.2009Couldn't have done it without the guys on the DMP Mutual Support Thread.:T :T :T :TDMP Support Member 2550 -
So step one is send off for the CCA.
Can someone walk me through the next steps, should we take them?0 -
Basically, depending what type of debt it is, if it falls under CCA 1974, then your CCA should state certan "prescorbed terms"massivedebts wrote: »Do you have time to explain them to me?
Thanks
If it does not, it means the agreement is not enforceable, the debts is NOT written of, just the creditor cannot enforce the debt, that won't be the end of it, because like most creditors, they'll cry, stamp there feet, throw there dummy out the pram, but in a nutshell, the debt cannot be enforced.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
