Just received a letter from GE saying my PPI is about to expire! Apparently I "bought" it in with a loan for purchase of a Space kitchen in April 2004. Single premium of just under £800. This was never explained to me.
Problem is, Space Kitchens have gone bust so I cannot pursue a claim with them. Any thoughts anyone please as to how I should proceed and what the chances are of success?
Thanks in advance.

Lots on here that have complaints in with them. It may be best to ring and explain your situation and also the firm involved.;) Some are covered, others not.0 -
Thanks for that but FSCS can only consider claims relating to advice on policies or arranging of policies on or after 14 January 2005. This one was arranged in April 2004.
I think all I can do is write direct to GE, but if anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful.

I think you should complain to GE regarding the PPI.
Have you requested any information from them at all SAR letter (Subject Access Request) or do you have any information relating to the loan and PPI?
Some of GE were regulated in October 2004 by the FSA, as yours was April 04, it may help you to find out if the GE money section you used was regulated: http://www.fsa.gov.uk.
If not you could find out if they were members of maybe GISC, not to sure about this one though.:wave:0
