See I knew there would be a reason which is why I never questioned it. I do as I am told on this forum!

Would it be okay if goodeys got a proof of posting which costs nothing instead of recorded. (yes i know that proof of posting is not proof of delivery but spending 88p to send a £1. po seems a bit daft.)
So for every £1.00 po you send its going to cost you over £2 each.

the only other way is to pay them £1 over the phone, no charge, no postage,
    no signature.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

If you send a cheque it will have your signature on, which they can then use to "prove" you have signed other documents that you haven't.

Recorded is the only way to prove they have received the item I'm afraid - proof of posting just proves you sent it.

TBH it depends why you're sending the £1s - is it something you have already agreed to in writing?

No Its for the CCA requests and the most they can charge is £1 so that is what I need to send to each of them.

Best to keep as much info as possible away from creditors. Bank details, Signatures, Phone numbers, everything.

Especially DCAs, they trade in others misery so have no scruples whatsoever.
