in Credit cards
hi
i need advice, i had my amex cancelled on the basis that my direct debit did not go through by a couple of days twice in one year, I cannot find in the terms and condition such a thing.
can anyone clarify this for me, it seems a bit harsh
thanks

Amex is very strict about receiving payments on time. If your payment are missed (specially DD) more than once in a short period they tend to cancel (ALL ) the Amex cards you may hold. ( I think the main reason -rightly or wrongly- is that you may be in financial difficulties -hence the return of DD ).
Read the T&C of your agreement - specially the section on payments.
My suggestion would be to ring Amex and explain the reasons (if not your fault) for the nonpayments of DD. They may reconsider (but I think its highly unlikely).Regards
