Help with a holiday to Benidorm please!!

Hi all, afraid I haven’t posted on here in quite a while, but could do with some serious help!!!

I am looking to book a weeks holiday to Benidorm in May for 2 of us, was hoping that that time of the year we would be able to get a pretty good deal, but it seems not, cant seem to find anything under about £350 and that’s only for self catering apartments that have pretty poor reviews on tripadvisor. Am I being unrealistic to think I could get something cheaper than that?

My wish list is:
Flying out on 15th May for 7 nights – don’t really want to change the departure date
Flying from Stansted ideally, but would go from Gatwick
Staying in Benidorm, prefer “new town” end
Think that covers everything?

Any ideas would be gratefully received :D

  • Someone on here told me about three companies called Villarenters, Owners Direct and Holiday Lettings. I looked at the time and thought that the prices were really good and combined with flights and a hire car came out considerably cheaper than a package. Depends what you want really but if you are looking for self catering then you should find something with these companies..

I think you'll only get grotty accomodation for that kind of cost, so yes, you're probably being unrealistic.

May is not low season really, its the start of the summer season. People will have been waiting all winter to go away, and in most of the med it is the earliest time you can rely on the weather. May is also popular with those trying to avoid the school holidays.

Is that £350 for you both?

  • hotel rio park £315 half board for both of you, then you would need flights
  • I'd go along with villajoyosa and go for sites like Holiday Lettings and similar, where you rent direct from the owner. It's always worked out cheaper than a package for me.

If you look with www.travelrepublic.co.uk quite a few all inclusive deals for under £350 each for flight and accommodation (from Gatwick)- obviously you would have to add transfers, but your budget is certainly OK - although check the hotels with www.tripadvisor.co.uk
