Alternative to Candy Anthony dresses?

I have fallen in love with Candy Anthony dresses, however, at £1000 they are quite over my budget of £500! Does anyone know where I can find similar 50's style dresses.. slightly shorter in length and full skirted for a more reasonable price? Or would I be able to get this dress made within my budget? I have looked on ebay, and I have found couple of dresses.. I'm just a little wary about buying my dress from there!
Any help would be great

Petticoat, bolero and sash etc are extras but inexpensive - definitely under your budget!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

May be too late for you, but I have had a 50s style dress made by Joanne Fleming in Brighton fully bespoke in silk satin for only £390. Happy to email pics if you like, not sure how email works on here tho?0

If you are thinking of getting a Vivien of Holloway dress then make sure you get the right size as they come up very small. I have to go up about 2 sizes as they are cut on original 50's patterns.
If you go directly to their shop in London and pay via cash you get 10% off their clothing, you do not get that discount on petticoats.
I love VOH dresses I already have two and I am awaiting another which I bought yesterday. I always get such positive comments when I wear them. One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
I had my dress made and it's very similar to Candy Anthony. Lindaatno9 made it for me. I'd definately think about approaching a dressmaker.0
