But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking -
- update spreadsheets
- move some money to savings
- storecupboard lunch and tea
- laundry hokey cokey for OH
- ironing for me
- reduce, reuse,recycle one thing
- clean one room in house to save having big clean at weekend
- swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- not use car - roads very icy anyway
- try and have a no spend day
- sparkle
, Monday again - back to work day:rolleyes: , thanks everyone for keeping me entertained on the thread over the weekend:D .Lots of people to contact today after the fire incident here at the wekend and lots of paperwork:rolleyes: so should keep me busy for the day.
Hugs to anyone feeling poorly - blackruby hope you are feeling a little better today

Paid my tax bill online (9 days late so there will be a little bit of interest).
Paid my accountant online too.
Updated my spreadsheets. I don't like what I see but sometimes taking on a bit more debt is the only way around something. As long as I get my debts down to the 1/1/2009 level by mid - late March, I will be OK with that. Although it's been a rocky start due to unexpectedly high outlays and weather stopping me working a lot, I still have the 2012 Olympics as my target date for clearing my unsecured debts (average payback about £15,000 a year + interest). Maybe that will turn out to be a bit too hopeful but even if I miss the target, at least I will still have gone a long way to becoming debt free.0
