FTB - older or newer property?

I am in a similar position. I look at new builds and think that they are too small but they are often in need of little work. However looking at older houses there is normally more work to do but the solid structure is sound and the rooms are bigger. Its a tough one - I guess it depends on how much work you want to put into the house or if you want to just move in to something that is basically ready to go.0

Very good guesses you two, They were all built in 1975!
As far as adding value by putting in an expensive kitchen goes. We know people who thought putting in a 30k kitchen in their new build flat in 2006 was a good investment for if they ever plan on selling it.
I'd be all over the older semi too. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -
