Hi,
we are exchanging soon on a house and so have been thinking about all the things we need to do.
we currently pay BT for the landline and tiscali for the calls as part of a broadband package. we dont have line rental with tiscali at the moment as its not supported in our area. (but think it will be in the one we are moving to).
went though some paperwork for the house we are buying and found that the phone is disconnected. The number was in the paperwork and I tried to ring it and got "this number does not exist".
Our broadband with tiscali is on a year contract and due for renewal/switch at the beginning of April. we've not had any probs with broadband so would just continue unless it was better to do anything else.
what are our options here?
do we need to get BT to reconnect the line? presumably we'd have to pay for this.
Is it best to always stay with BT?
Is it easier/cheaper/possible to get tiscali to do this instead? our broadband being due for renewal - will they want to do the landline if it keeps us?
Is there another way?
hope this is in the right place! thanks for any help
