LOL. You seriously need to learn to budget and save.
When you've cleared your debt and saved £10k come back and ask again.0 -
Lets just say you probably have 2 hopes
And one of them is called BOBIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
i dont know the ins and outs of poor payment histories and their affect on mortgage acceptance but i do know you cant get a mortgage at the moment without a deposit. so by the time you save a 15% deposit, your poor credit history will be even further behind you than it is now, so that will be in your favour0

I believe it's 6 years for any bad credit to come off your file......12 years if its a default on a mortgage (don't quote me on the mortgage one though)If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

Sounds like you haven't got a good credit history, I'd stay where you are, pay off your debt and save like a mofo (£10-15k).0

House prices will fall further, while you save.
Your OH might not be "the one" and saving gives you more time to check.0 -

Thanks for your help though
The best advice you will get is clear debt and save.0 -
Although you may not appreciate the sarcasm, whichever way you cut it is that you do not have the credit rating necessary for a lender to look at you currently.
The only option may be is for your OH to look at what he can get in his sole name (depends on his income) which may be boosted if he states that he would look to take a lodger (i.e you)
The lack of deposit will screw you whatever tho, so you do need to save at least 10% of whatever price you are looking at.Nothing to see here :beer:0
