need some help please

we capped our prices with BG a while and now they've gone down.
Do we still have to pay for gas at the capped price, surely we should be able to pay at the price it is now?
And the capped price is the max we must pay

Any help hugely welcomed

    Hi,

If your prices are capped they should go down.

If the prices are fixed they will remain the same, even if prices rise or fall.

I'd check with British Gas and ask which tariff you are on, or check the terms and conditions of your prices.

  • My gas is fixed until August 2010, should I come out of it - there is a £35 charge - they want to put my monthly direct debit up

You will have to check your annual usage, and check to see if the price cut will soak up the £35 charge.
