Just a quickie.
Sister bought a child's gro-bag from the Internet (www.dreambag.co.uk)Sizing on packaging correct, however, gro-bag's size did not match packaging and what was ordered (eg ordered 18-36 months, packaging showed 18-36 months but gro bag was 6 months)
Advised by Dreambag to return item. I did this, via Citylink courier. Parcel was delivered to correct address and signed for. However, Dreambag refusing to replace or refund as they say they have not received grobag back.
I advised them that I have proof this was signed for but they say they have no knowledge of the person that signed for item and that they do not have the grobag.
They say nothing more they can do until they receive garments.
HELP? Do I have any rights here or do I have to swallow the £20.00 that grobag cost?
Any advice would be greatly received!

What is the proof you have got?
Citilink(also known as sh*ittylink,not without reason)0 -
The likelihood is that Sh1ttystink have delivered to the wrong address. This would explain the fact that it was signed for by someone whom Dreambag have never heard of.
I would pursue Citylink at this stage. Get something in writing from Dreambag to the effect that no-one of the name of the signer has worked for them and that they have not received the item.
The rights you have at this stage are to some extent irrelevant because if push came to shove the only way you could enforce them is via a small claims court. That said, you could approach Trading Standards and see what they say.
However there is also a strong argument for not expending much more time or money on this. Make a note never to use Citylink or Dreambag every again and let it go.0 -

Many thanks for that. I am slightly embarrassed to say that my brother in law works for sh***ylink and he arranged for parcel to be sent! He has paperwork from them to show it has been signed for and he did say (although now I realise I should double check the paperwork!!)that it was delivered to correct address. Good advice about asking company to write and confirm noone works there by the name of the "signer!"
Will try one last email and get BIL to show me paperwork as confirmation and may have to take the advice and "let it go"
Many thanks for your response - very helpful0 -

However, from the other comments regarding said courier firm, it may be wise checking the paperwork myself and not relying on Employee of firm!
mmm, watch this space. It looks like this might be a case of "6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other!"
Thank you for reply.0 -

If you mean timescale for when purchased and returned, this was purchased towards the beginning of December for Christmas present, and therefore, opened 25th December.0 -
Anyway..........
Taking note of all your comments regarding Sh***ylink, having double checked the information originally given (ie checking paperwork) it now transpires that in fact, the above mentioned Couriers, DID NOT deliver to the correct address! This is after being told by BIL that it had!
So, apologies for naming dreambag and at least an outcome!
Back I go to Sh***ylink for them to sort!
Thank you for opening my eyes!0 -
Aah...the wonderful world of sh*ttylink0
