Npower SOL 11 to SOL 14
Hi everyone I have just about picked myself up off the floor after spending an hour on the phone yesterday to Npower after recieving my dual fuel bill for Oct 27 to Feb 2 inc. I was on SOL 11 since joining them in July last year (I left EON as they refused to let me pay the outstanding balance in full in order to keep my monthly DD the same as my daughter and new grand-daughter had been staying with me but had moved into their own home so I knew my consumption would have gone back down). I work nearly full time and spend a lot of time at my daughter's so I have been able to be very thrifty with my useage but was gobsmacked to see I have used 3302 kwh gas at a cost of 2751 kwh @ 7.392p and 551 @ 1.958. The readings are actual. This is not the same SOL 11 as in July and indeed on energyhelpline when I did a comparison you can get details of your present tariff. I know prices have jumped but shouldn't they make you aware of this. When I complained the man said it is up to the consumer to be 'proactive'! He only suggested a cheaper tariff when I said 'the magic words of change supplier' or they are not allowed to do so. Is everything to do with energy now a rip off? !!!
