Lloyds Tsb Ppi Help Please

Options
I would be very grateful if someone could help please

I am sure that I have been missold PPI on a loan I took out for £25000 with Lloyds TSB in November 2006. I was self employed at the time & told the guy in the bank that I was self employed but he said that if I took out the PPI it would strenghten my application. I have dug out the PPI policy document & on page 8 there is a check list of 6 things to check to see if you are elegible for this policy, number 2 on the list says "You are either employed, retired or a non employed person (choosing not to work) no mention of being self employed! I am paying £105.25 a month for this so would be grateful of any help & advice.

Hi it sounds as though it is not covered then. May i suggest that you just give them a ring in the first place and ask them. If you are lucky and they agree they may settle straight away. If they do not then go on to write an official letter etc.

If you need further help with that then post back on here and I am sure somebody will guide you.

    Good luck:D

Have you got the actual terms and conditions of the PPI policy??

What you are mentioning sounds like an application:confused:

I take it you can claim the interest back as well, because as mine is with the FOS right now, the FOS have agreed to uphold my complaint and requested for Lloyds to refund all PPI premiums made plus interest and charges occurred etc, good luck with this and please let us know what they say and if you require any further help just also feel free to ask.;)

Would PPI miselling apply to Business loans as well? I took out a loan of £25000 as well 6 years ago for my wife and I to start a shop which is a limited company. We had to put our house up as collateral so it was a secured loan and the Manager never explained PPI was added but now the loan is finished I was looking at the original form and £4000 was added to the £25000 at the outset, I thought it was interest but it was PPI, so we were paying down a loan of £29000. I was working and we also had investment property income so had no need of payment protection.

Its whether PPI misselling applies only to individuals or Limited companies as well I'm keen to know.
