re-wire a house??

any one know a rough cost off the top of your head how much it costs to re-wire a 3 bed house please?? up stairs has 3 beds and a bathroom, downstairs has 8 rooms.

at a guess and without seeing it. materials alone are going to be around the £800+ mark.... plus labour

if you want cables chased in the wall, that will be more on labour, unless cables can be pulled through any existing channel in the wall. Is the house occupied? that will also make a big difference to the price.

also depends on the structure of the house, any extensions with a flat roof and a concrete floor? is the kitchen tiled & with expensive units etc, Iusually like to see a property before quoting, how many power points? How many lights etc, you could be looking at £4000ish plus materials for a decent job

thanks for your replys, yes the house is occupied, and the house is extended, with flat roof and concerete floor to 4 of the rooms downstairs. ideally, we would like the wireing to be chipped in the walls, but i guess if that bumps the price up....

one more question.....
how long does it take? and is it major disruption to the house?
