Do Barclays know what hardship is? and how much they cause!

I've been on an agreement with Barclays/Woolwich whereby I've been paying an extra couple of hundred pounds a month on my mortgage because I was in arrears.
Anyway, stupidly at the end of December I thought I'd just pay the norm as times are tight and I thought I'd actually try and have a nice Christmas. Big mistake. They went me a letter saying they would be going for reposession. I rang them and I think we got the issue resolved, I apologised and said I would start paying the extra again.
On Friday I got a letter saying they were charging me £40 for breaking an agreement. Then yesterday I got a letter saying I have to pay £750 solicitor fees. Feel like topping myself but that would mean the barstewards have beat me.
I did mention to the woman when I rang that I have a stayed case against Barclays for 4k but she wasn't interested as that was a different account.
