Autoaid
Recently changed from the AA(£110) to Autoaid (£29). Within a week I experienced problems over 100 miles from home. Called Autoaid experienced no long delays with the call centre and a local mechanic came out within the hour. He also fixed the problem and I received my cheque for the labour costs within 14 days. Excellent many thanks MSE. :j

All I hear is good things about this company. As soon as my current RAc membership runs out (£120/annum) in April, I'll be switching to Autoaid. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

I joined about 3 weeks ago. A week last Friday I went to a petrol garage to pump up my tyres, found the pump not working, the garage attendant came out looked at it and then had ago, released all the air from my tyre and said "Your right it doesn't work"
Ended up with a complete flat and the attendant had no foot pump or anything, so was stuffed (and not very pleased)
Phoned Autoaid, who were very helpful and then they phoned a local garage to come out. Took 30 minutes, a payment on my debit card and I was away.
Sent off the claim form 4 days later and got a cheque (today) about 8 days later for the same amount.
What can I say top service, excellent find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -

I believe that Autoaid do not have a web site however their phone numbers are 01277 720 700 or 01277 235 700 They will take your details and can either sign you up over the phone with a credit/debit card.Or will send you a form to complete and return it with a cheque.Hope this helps...:)If this post has helped, please feel free to hit the Thank You Button

If for any reason you don't want to pay for the mechanic upon call out, and/or you want to be able to make an unlimited number of calls in a year, you can also go for AutoNational Rescue - it's more expensive (less so for the second car on the policy) but it's the same people with the same excellent service.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
Debt now: £14,100
Debt free day: October 2008 :beer:0
