Window company gone bust, need window repair

Sorry if this is on the wrong board.

My mother recently bought a house (August) but since the cold weather has noticed 1 of the bedroom windows has condensation between the panes. She knows which company did the windows but they have since gone bust. How does she find out if the windows had a guarantee underwritten by insurers?

All she has is a certificate which gives an invoice number on.

Any pointers?

Was the company FENSA registered.?
Did they give you a FENSA certificate?

If you have the FENSA certificate then, i think your window will be covered. Just ring FENSA.

Apparently this house had some windows fitted by one company and some by another who did issue a FENSA certificate but the other company thats gone bust just issued a certificate with an invoice number on.

We don't know which company fitted which windows at this point.

fensa has nothing to do with the windows guarantee they are an organisation who informs local authorities that installers who are registered with them have fitted windows to properties.if you vave an invoice from the fensa registered company why not ask them to come round to have a look at the failed unit they will soon tell you wether they did the window or not
